Paul Davis , 62, of Saugerties, New York, died Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He is the beloved son of Lois Susanne Levine-Elman and the late Stanley Davis, stepson of Betty Levine-Davis.
Well-known in the community, Paul made friends wherever he went. There wasn't a stranger he didn't talk to and attempted to befriend. He worked at Price Chopper in Saugerties, volunteered at Opus 40, was often invited by various local bands to play drums and was always eager to help, famously asking "can I help." He is lovingly remembered by those in the community as caring, friendly and outgoing and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother Lois, Paul is survived by his stepmother Betty, sister Amy Taurisano, brothers Joshua Davis and Jonah Crawford, stepbrothers Phillip, Arthur and David Levine, aunt Sylvia Davis, aunt Leah and uncle Michael Sherman, and cousins Rachel Sherman, Lisa Lubranicki, Suzanne Andreoli and their children. He was also a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father and grandmother Rose Davis, with whom he held an especially close relationship and bond.
