Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.

The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church Thursday at 11:00 am.

Private interment will be held in Woodstock Cemetery.

Paul L. DeLisio, 84 , died at his home with his family at his side on Thursday February 19, 2026. Born in Los Angeles California October 5, 1941, a son of the late Anthony and Emma (Cheney) DeLisio.

Paul was a graduate of St. Bonaventure University and received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting.  He enlisted in the University ROTC program and served in The United States Army as a Second Lieutenant from 1963 to 1965 in both Michigan and Texas during The Vietnam War. He also had his Masters in Financial Services from American College.

Paul returned to Woodstock after his service and was very involved in local politics serving as Town Councilman and President of the local chapter of the Jaycees. He also served as head coach and GM of the Zena Wildcats youth football team and Scout Master.

A Certified Financial Planner for over 50 years, he had the additional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Registered Health Underwriter. He was an agent for New York Life Insurance Company and recently celebrated his 60-year anniversary. He received many company and industry awards including New York Life Man of the Year and Lifetime membership to the Councils, with his most prestigious being Million Dollar Round Table, awarded to the top insurance professionals worldwide.

His true love was being the steward of the Woodstock Golf Club. He was on the board of both Woodstock Property Inc. and the Woodstock Golf Club. Under his leadership of over 50 years, the club has flourished and his plan is in place to keep it forever a golf course and the beautiful gateway to Woodstock it has always been. His legacy will live forever at this special place.

For over 40 years Woodstock Christmas Eve Committee was also a big part of his life.  He was integral to the operation and worked tirelessly to provide Woodstock residence with a special Christmas Celebration as well as cheer baskets to lift their holiday spirits.

He was a member of Kiwanis and a regular in Kiwanis Capers, often showing off those beautiful legs and sense of humor. He served on the Advisory Board of the D&H Canal Historical Society, Adjunct Professor at both Marist and UCCC, Past Chairman of the Benedictine Health Foundation, Past Member of the Board at Sawyer Savings Bank and many other volunteer organizations.

A long time Parishioner of St. Joseph's Church where he was a Trustee on the Parish Council and served on the Finance Committee.

Surviving are, Two sons; Jeffery DeLisio and his wife Lisa, Todd DeLisio and his wife Sheri. Two stepdaughters; Sheryl Spinelli and her husband Jeff, Donna Quilty and her husband Tim. A sister Sharon Dallstream, a brother David DeLisio. Eight grandchildren; Brandon (Shana) DeLisio, Danielle (James) DeLisio-Lynch, Ian (Meg) DeLisio, Abie DeLisio, Christopher (Marta) Spinelli, Nicole Spinelli, Alexander (Eric Beaudette) Quilty and Victoria Quilty.   Five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive including his dog Angel. He was predeceased by his wife Gloria, brothers, Stephen DeLisio, Robert DeLisio, sister Liz Spinelli and his loving companion Darlene Pfeiffer.

The family would like to thank Gift and Patrice for their care and love during this process as well as the nurses from Hudson Valley Hospice.
