It is with profound sadness our family shares the loss of Retired Army Captain Paul D. Piratzky who passed away on May 8, 2025. Paul was born in Kingston May 14, 1958 to the late Charles A. and Rose (Raimondi) Piratzky. He married Lisa L. (Johnson) Piratzky on April 14, 2007. Sadly Lisa predeceased him December 17, 2024. Paul was a skilled craftsman, animal lover and smart person. He would often remind us that he had an IQ of 130 and enough college credits to be a doctor. Paul joined the U.S. Army in 1976 and would proudly say he was in Germany for 2 years 7 months and 6 days. Later reenlisting in the National Guard. He was a member of the 10th Mountain Division and the 104th Military Police Battalion.
Paul was self employed as highly skilled ferrite machinist. In addition to his military service he operated several successful businesses. In 2008 after his second and final tour in Iraqi Freedom he began the journey of building a new house for himself and Lisa. Located in West Hurley, they were very proud of their home and had a genuine passion for the wildlife on the property. They enjoyed every encounter and were even fortunate enough to have saved an orphaned fawn.
Please join us to celebrate the lives of both Paul and Lisa Sunday May 25, 2025 at noon, 1119 Dug Hill Road, West Hurley, N.Y.
