Paula Madeline Lazzaro

Paula Madeline Lazzaro , of Marbletown, died Peacefully in her home, with her loving son by her side, on November 3rd, after a lengthy illness. She was born September 11th, 1944, to Paul and Katherine Foertsch, of Tillson. She married the love of her life, Sebastian Lazzaro, in April of 1963, and they lived in Tillson for many years, until relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada for several years, then returning back to her beloved home of Ulster County, where she resided with her son in Marbletown, until her passing.

Paula was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and loved being a grandparent. Always a hard worker, her passion was found in cooking and hosting many gatherings, for family and friends alike. In her younger years, Paula loved camping, fishing, and going on vacations with her family. She also loved playing bingo and visiting casinos. In her later years, her favorite pastimes were watching her Yankees and Steelers on TV, and going on many, many rides throughout our beautiful Ulster County, sometimes with a destination in mind, but usually just to "go where the road will take us." She was predeceased by both parents, and her Love, Sebastian. She is survived by her son, Dean, of Marbletown, daughter Lisa, of Las Vegas, her grandchildren Derick, Nicholas, and Dante, two sisters, Patricia of Tillson and Marie of Murfreesboro, TN, her close sister in law Lynne of Rosendale, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be handled by Leahy funeral home of Kingston, and she will be laid to rest next to Sebastian at St. Peter's cemetery in Tillson, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests any offerings in her memory be made to Hudson Valley Hospice, who were amazing and vital during her last days and months.
