In Loving Memory of Pietro DiPaola

October 6, 1941 – December 11, 2025

Pietro DiPaola, 84, of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, December 11, 2025, after a long battle with kidney disease.

Pietro was born in Amorosi, Italy, and immigrated to the US at the age of 22.  He was the owner of Look of Today Hair Salon in Kingston, NY, where his greatest joy was caring for and encouraging his clients as he helped to make them look and feel their best.  He had a deep faith in Jesus and wanted everyone to know that they were valued and loved by God.  He was a long-time member of Fountain of Life Church, where he enjoyed worshiping his Savior while he played the drums.  Pietro also enjoyed attending a worship service for individuals with special needs where he became the beloved "Grandpa" of all in attendance.  When Pietro wasn't styling hair, reading the Bible, or playing the drums, he could be found spending time with his extended family as they ate together, drank homemade wine, or were out on his brother's boat.  Pietro was known for his gentle and kind words and his loving and generous heart. He will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by many cherished family members as well as many friends that have become like family.  A special thank you to all the wonderful nurses, doctors, and technicians as well as friends and family who helped care for him, especially during the last year and 1/2 of his life.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Fountain of Life Church, 71 Old King's Highway, Lake Katrine, NY 12449, at 2:00 PM.  Doors will open at 1:00 PM to greet the family.
