Priscilla Joann (Joyce) Mullen, 77,
of Kingston died in her sleep on Sunday March 2, 2025 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Born June 15, 1947 in Joplin, Missouri and raised in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Billy Ray and Betty Jo (Greenlee) Joyce. Priscilla was one of four Midwestern sisters who spread out across the country upon adulthood: one moved to Colorado, one to Washington State, one to New Hampshire, and Priscilla moved to Ulster County with her new husband Bill Hart, Jr. of Kingston.
Priscilla worked as a medical transcriptionist for X-Ray technicians, working herself through school whereupon she moved into IBM and became a teacher of new hires there, a position she kept for almost 20 years.
A kind person, teaching was her vocation, and many of her long-lasting friends she met while she worked there. She was also a constant knitter and crocheter, offering her delicate and unique bags, hats, scarves and the like on Etsy and in local boutiques. Priscilla is remembered as a very humble and kind soul who was much loved and will be very missed.
Priscilla is survived by her children: son Thomas Hart (daughter-in-law Leela Corman) and their daughter Molly Rose; daughter Danielle Hart and her son Elliott Ieremia; and her sisters Betty Ray Cox (brother-in-law Bill) and Jennifer Perez (brother-in-law Paul).
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister Cheri Phair, and her granddaughter Rosalie Lightning Corman Hart.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
