Richard J. Kocsis

Richard J. Kocsis, 68, passed away after a brief illness at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset NY.

Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jeannette Kocsis of Kingston NY and beloved son, Richard Joseph Kocsis of Palenville NY. Also survived by his brother James Kocsis and sister Teresa, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Richard J. Kocsis and Sarah Mary Kocsis Lyons.

A graduate of SUNY Binghamton, Rick spent his career in law enforcement, including Florence SC Police Department, NYS Probation and NYS Parole. In his retirement, he spent time hunting, fishing, boating and training his two Rottweilers.

There will be a private family service at a later time. The family would like to thank the ICU team at Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital at North Shore University Hospital.
