Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday 10:30am to 12:30 pm. A service will begin at 12:30.

Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.

Richard J. Koyon, of Kings Highway, Saugerties, died at North Shore University Hospital Manhasset, New York on Friday August 14, 2026. Born in Bridgeport, CT on August 21, 1946 a son of the late Joseph and Florence (Countryman) Koyon.

Rich served in the United States Army during The Vietnam Era. He was employed by Dyno Nobel and previously Hercules Powder Company for forty-seven years. After retirement, he was employed part time at Tech City. In his leisure time, he enjoyed a round of golf, the beach and was a fan of the New York Yankees and Giants.

He is survived by his grandchildren Jason Panke, John Panke lll, Zachary Grant and Jenna Grant, a great grandson Noah Kai Scott Panke, two brothers Joseph and Michael Koyon as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 2016, two daughters Trudy Grant and Paula Panke and a brother Allen Koyon.
