Richard B. Metcalf, 82, of Kingston passed away Saturday March 23, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1941 in Kingston, a son of the late Harold and Marguerite Metcalf.

Rich served in the National Guard from 1961 until 1967 and was a member of the American Legion. He worked for over thirty years at Huck International in Kingston as a machinist. After his retirement, he enjoyed working as a crossing guard in Kingston, stationed at the George Washington School for many years. Rich enjoyed tending to his gardening and was a fan of Elvis Presley.

Surviving are his children Richard S. Metcalf and his wife Lisa of Hurley, Melanie Piotti and her husband Brian of Germantown, and Christopher Metcalf and his wife Amy of Freehold, five grandchildren, and a sister Dorothy "Dee" McAndrew of Modena, Rich's beloved canine companion Duke, as well as his former spouse Rande Triulzi also survive.

In addition to his parents, Rich is predeceased by his wife Lynn Metcalf.
