Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday June 18, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of The Snow Church at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow in St Mary's cemetery.

Rita Marie Connor of Cary, NC, formerly of Saugerties, NY, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 9th, 2023, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.  She was the daughter of James and Margaret Hannigan, born in Poughkeepsie, NY. She married the love of her life Dick Connor on October 12th, 1957.

Her survivors include daughter Patricia Hackett, her husband Arnie of Fuquay Varina NC, daughter Margaret (Peg) Snyder, her husband Rich, son Stephen of Clayton, NC, and Michael Connor of
Florida. Grandchildren Justin Hackett, and wife Nicole, Christine Hackett Martin, and husband Andrew, Kristopher Snyder and fiancée Donna Brocco, Amber Nalley and husband Peter and Eric Connor and fiancée Chelsea Govea. Also Great Grandchildren , Eleanor Hackett, Connor Martin and Joseph Nalley. Several nieces and nephews and the many many dear friends she met over the years.

She was predeceased in death by her husband Richard (Dick) Connor, son Kevin, parents James and Margaret Hannigan and brother James Hannigan. Also by her Grandchild Alton James Hackett and Great Granddaughter Margaret Lucy Martin.

While living in NC she was a member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church. Prior to that she was a member of St. Mary of the Snow Catholic Church, Saugerties, NY, where she was active in the Rosary Society and served as President of that organization.
