Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
The funeral procession will form 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Robert P. Boughton, Sr. of Gage Street died at Westchester County Medical Center on Friday May 5, 2023. He was 76 years of age. Born in Kingston February 28,1947 a son of the late Kenneth and Mary (Mitchell) Boughton.
"Bobby" was employed as a Police Officer for the Kingston Police Department for twenty fiver years until retirement. He then joined Ethan Allen, contributing his talents for another thirty years. His love for his community was exhibited in the immense number of organizations he volunteered for. He served as Secretary of The Kingston PBA, active in volunteer firematics- as a member of AH Wicks Hose, East Kingston Fire Department, officer of the Kingston Exempt Fire Fighters Association, Kingston Bowling Association and inductee in the Hall of Fame, Ulster County Youth Bowling Association, Board of Directors Ulster County Big Brothers Big Sisters, St. Mary's Benevolent Society. Lastly, since the age of ten he was a player and the coach, president, grounds keeper, and fund raiser for the Metropolitan Knot Hole Little League.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Tyler) Boughton. His children; Robert P. Boughton, Jr. (Lynn Pereira), Lisa Couillard and her husband Bruce, Anthony Boughton, and Christopher Boughton. Siblings; Kenneth Boughton, Charles Boughton, and Mary Ann Hill. Fifteen grandchildren eight great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews also survive. Two sisters Linda Boughton and Theresa Simon predeceased him.
