Robert DiBella

Robert DiBella, 73 , of Port Ewen passed away Monday April 20, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1952 in Albany, a son of the late Leonardo DiBella and Catherine Winchell. He was the step son of Joseph Winchell.

Bob owned and operated a furniture store in the old Woolworth's Building in Uptown Kingston named A Place In Time. Prior to A Place In Time, he was a partner with Transwestern Publishing. He was appointed Director of Transportation for Ulster County Area Transit and served that position for many years. Bob enjoyed pickleball, football- including rooting for the New York Giants and especially golfing with his friends in the Hacker's League. He was a volunteer with ReStore and a member of the Mendelssohn Club of Kingston. Bob loved old houses and furniture restoration.

Surviving is his wife Ann Marie DiBella, a daughter Anna DiBella, two granddaughters Evie and Alexis Sanchez, one brother Kenneth DiBella, two nieces Robin Ziegler, Kim Miller and one nephew Marty Miller. Brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews as well as his beloved canine companion River also survive.

In addition to his parents and stepfather, he was predeceased by his sister Kathryn "Kathy" Miller.
