Robert Korotky , born October 16, 1955, and a longtime resident of Woodstock, New York, passed away on December 21, 2025.
Robert grew up in Greenville and Port Jervis, New York, and graduated from Port Jervis High School in 1974. In his early years, he operated a masonry business before eventually settling in Woodstock, where he owned and ran a window-cleaning service.
Known by his stage name "Kodi Drummer," Robert was a gifted musician who handcrafted his own drums and performed at festivals and gatherings. He was known not only for his music, but also for his generosity, often cooking food, welcoming others, and sharing his love of rhythm and community. He had a deep affection for animals and lived life with a free and creative spirit.
Robert was formerly married to Cheryl Goldschmidt Korotky. He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Dupre of Kingston, Pennsylvania, married to Robert Dupre, and Chelsea Wells of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Nevaeh Wells, Adam Dupre, Peyton Wells, and Grayson Kramer; his nephew Jason VanZile; and his niece and nephews, along with their spouses and children.
He was the son of Sam and Mildred Korotky of Port Jervis, New York.
Robert will be remembered for his generosity, love of music, compassion for animals, and the joyful, open-hearted way he shared his gifts with everyone he met.
