Robert C. Stewart

Robert C. Stewart, 94, of the Town of Ulster passed away on Monday May 18, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Robert was born in Kingston on August 15, 1931 the son of Alton and Lillian (Tuttle) Stewart. He was predeceased by his wives Joan (Nealis) and Barbara Chase (Buley).

Robert worked at A.K.T. Industries, Huck Manufacturing, and after retirement, the City of Kingston. He always had a project of building or restoring houses and could fix anything. He looked forward every year to Shriners Bingo in Vermont.

He is survived by his daughters Deborah M. Stewart of Kingston and Donna Stewart of Connecticut. Grandchildren Stephanie Bhattacharjee, Sean and Sarah Miscikoski and Jessica Cosme. Greatgrandchildren Jordan Anspach, Abigail Bhattacharjee, Levi Cosme, Lillian Williams, Allison Wento. Several nieces and nephews also survive as well as a dear friend Clara Rolleri and step children Doug, Sherri, Penny and Judy.

He was predeceased by his son Robert J. Stewart, granddaughter Jennifer Stewart, siblings Evelyn Ducharme, Alton Stewart, Beatrice Wells, Roy Stewart and Warren Stewart.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services. Thank you to his caregivers Cindy, Lori and Maria for helping him be at home the past few years.
