Rose M. Lee

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 7 PM.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday 11 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.

Rose M. Lee, 90, of the Town of Ulster died Friday January 26, 2024 at TenBroeck Center For Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lake Katrine.  She lived for many years on Sawkill Ruby Road.

Born in Highland, April 26, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Torrisi) Sorbello.

Rose was employed for many years as the "Pizza Cook" at Rénies Restaurant formerly located on North Front Street in Kingston.  She was also employed at the snack bar at The Wood N Wheel Roller Rink and Buzzanco's Farm.

Survivors include her sons, Robert (Bob) E. Lee and his wife Lynne and James (Jimmy) Lee and his wife Debbie; her brother Albert Sorbello. Grandchildren; Andrew Wells and his wife Melissa, James Lee Jr. and his wife Jessica, John Benson and his wife Jill, and James Benson. 10 Great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Rose loved to garden and each spring she planted hundreds of flowers in her gardens.

She was active in a number of senior clubs and enjoyed spending time with her friends going to lunch.

She loved spending time with her family and was "famous" for her rice pudding and potato salad. It wasn't a holiday or special event without those two dishes.

She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years James. H. Lee;  a daughter, Mary Ann Benson, her siblings; Anthony Sorbello, Angelina Buzzanco, Frank Sorbello, Rocco Sorbello and Salvatore Sorbello.
