Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday November 10th from 4-7 PM.
A funeral procession will form Monday 10 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 11 AM at St. Mary's Church.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Rose T. Redmond, 83, formerly of Kingston passed away on Monday November 4, 2024 at the Meadows at Brookmeade in Rhinebeck, NY. She had dementia for several years and a recurrence of metastatic lung cancer. She was born November 17, 1940 in Kingston and is the daughter of the late Robert and Concetta (Altomari) Post.
Rose was a graduate of the Kingston High School Class of 1958, she worked as a model for Montgomery Ward and then worked for many years as a secretary at Kingston Catholic School where she was remembered fondly by students and faculty. She was a member of the St. Mary's Church in Kingston and the Altar Rosary Society. Rose enjoyed many, many trips to Lake George, NY over the years with her family and will always be remembered by her grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews for her thoughtfulness in sending cards and gifts for every holiday.
Surviving is her daughter Teresa Hein and her husband Pete of Poughkeepsie, grandchildren Travis Redmond, Jordan Redmond, Chelsea Redmond, Michaela Fiorito, Erin Hein and Heather Hein, several great grandchildren, a brother Robert Post, Jr. and his wife Janet of Virginia, a sister Bonnie Doyle of Ulster Park, her brother in law Bernie Redmond of Kingston, her sister in law Mary Post of Clifton Park, NY, many cousins, especially MaryAnn (Mimi) Hart who has been a strong support for Rose, several
nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Suzan. The family would like to thank the staff of the Meadows at Brookmeade for their unconditional love and care for Rose for the past one and a half years.
Rose was predeceased by her brother John Post, her son John Redmond, Jr., her husband John "Jack" Redmond, and her son Michael Redmond.
