Family and friends will be for visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bethel A.M.E. Church Coxsackie -123 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY 12051.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 AM at Bethel A.M.E. Church.

Rudolph Eldridge Trott was the third eldest son of six born to the late Gilbert and Cora Trott. Rudy's strong faith began young when he attended St. Paul's AME Church in Bermuda along with his family.

He started working at a very young age, one job was building coffins. He was an excellent carpenter as well. He immersed himself in whatever he was building, enjoying the craft. As a youth, he had a passion for boats. He built kayaks out of flour sacks and putty. Whatever he built, it was made to last. One job that he loved was working on The Queen of Bermuda as a balancer. He later moved to America and worked in the elevator and crane division of Con Edison until he retired at 58 years old.

In March of 1985, Rudy married his best friend, Sandra Butterfield. Rudy and Sandra enjoyed 37 years of a great union and love spending time together. In 1992, they moved to Upstate New York in Sleepy Hollow Lake and The Hudson River. Here he was able to enjoy the leisure activities he loved which were boating, watching the snowfall, and the benefits of nature like waking up to see deer walking in the yard. Rudy also loved to travel, making Bermuda one of his main stops. This enabled him to spend time with his family and friends there.

Rudy was a simple man with a big heart. Those close to him knew that they were loved. Not much was said but everything was expressed with his amazing smile and hugs.

He will dearly be missed by his loved ones.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandra Trott; his daughters Donna & Kim Trott, his son Gary Williams and stepson Mark (Cassandra) Trott; his sisters Eloise Dzofonoo, Virgina "Cora" Wilson and Marlene 'Flora" Trott; his Aunt-in-law Thelma Batts; his sister-in-laws Ada Franks, Barbara (Kenny) Bean and Valeria Butterfield; his grandchildren Tresca, Sekai, Jarrett, Noel, Christen, Joshua, and Faith Trott; his great grandchildren Aisha, Re'al, Monroe, and Mila. He also had a host of nieces & nephews that he held close to his heart.
