Sharon Brianne Bascue

On behalf of the entire Bascue family, please accept this open invitation to join us in celebrating the life of Sharon Brianne Bascue. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 29, 2026, at Hurley Cemetery, 69-91 Zandhoek Road, Hurley, NY 12443, at 11:00 AM.

Sharon B. Bascue , 76, of Whitehall, NY, formerly of Kingston, NY, and Mesa/Buckeye, AZ, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on April 14, 2026. Born August 5, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Sherwood B. Shultis and Barbara M. Wenk.

To know Sharon was to love her. Sharon loved her family with every piece of her heart, and nothing made her happier than her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. However, her love and happiness did not stop there. She was a source of strength for so many others. If someone needed help, Sharon helped them. She became an extended family for so many of her children's friends. There have been so many people who have had the good fortune to cross paths with her. While walking those paths, she taught people to accept and love everyone for who they are, to enjoy life to the fullest, play music loud and dress how you want, and more often than not, she shared her coined phrase "it is what it is." She also taught that when the time comes to stand up and fight for what is right, to do it without fear. In the end, she fought her final fight on her terms, surrounded by many family and friends. Although she has passed, her loving memory will live on in the hearts of so many.

Sharon is survived by her children: Scott Bascue, Brianne Steinke (Mark Steinke), Kenneth Curry, Chris Bascue (Brenda Bascue), Kate Wiskoski (John Wiskoski), Denyelle Bascue, and Jeffrey Bascue II (Tami Villa), and her siblings: Alan Shultis (Joanne Shultis), Dona Terpening (Mark Terpening), and Dale Shultis (Mary Shultis). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Bradley, Alexandria, Isabella, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Cody, Hannah, Haley, Courtney, Maya, Ella, Aylexys, Reina, Jeffrey III, Leonardo, Vaya, Benicio and five great-grandchildren: Adylyn, Sophie, Millie, Carson and Grace.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Jeffrey T. Bascue who she missed so much, her brother Corey Shultis, and many other loved family members and friends.
