Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday August 7, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM.

The evening will end with family tributes.

Inurnment will be held privately in the Rosendale Plains Cemetery.

Sharon L. Brown, 63, of Kingston died Wednesday August 2, 2023 at the home of her son under the care of Hospice surrounded by her family. Born October 5, 1959 in Fontana, California, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna M. (Bohnstedt) Schermerhorn.

Sharon  was employed by the Kingston Consolidated School District as a lunch monitor at the Edson School. She was also a longtime employee of Anaconda Sports, which was like a second family.  Sharon loved being with her entire family especially her boys, enjoyed traveling to Maine and was a fan of the New York Rangers.

Surviving are her sons, Shane Peterson and his wife Shanon, Jason Peterson and his wife Joy, Brian Peterson and his wife Jamie;  her stepsons, James A. Brown Jr. and his wife Janet, Alan Brown Sr. and his wife Toni and William Brown Sr.  her brothers and sisters, Albert Schermerhorn and his wife Donna, Carla Webster, Joan Bagalonis and her husband Brian, and William Schermerhorn and his wife Ramona. Eighteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
