With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Shirley Louise Wade, who entered her eternal rest on December 12, 2025, at the age of 92. Born April 16, 1933, Shirley was the cherished daughter of Nelson and Eva (DeGraff) Brodhead and the devoted wife of the late Richard Burton Wade.
Shirley's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, compassion, and service. She spent many years caring for others as a nurse at Kingston Hospital, Hurley Avenue Nursing Home, and through private in-home care. Her gentle hands and loving heart brought comfort and hope to countless lives. She was a woman of sacrifice and grace, always putting others before herself.
She found joy in the simple blessings of life—gardening, nurturing her family, and walking closely with the Lord. Her unwavering faith was her strength, and she lived each day reflecting God's love.
She is survived by her loving children: Dale Wade, Ronald Wade, Ralph Wade, Linda Hasbrouck, Eva Jackson (husband Telly), Jeffery Wade (wife Lisa), Zachary Wade (wife Dawn), and Jennifer Davis (husband Charles). She was preceded in death by her beloved son Joshua Wade. Her legacy continues through numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is also survived by siblings Nelson Brodhead Jr, Lawrence Brodhead (wife Patricia), Alice Sarv (husband Tony), Thelma Brodhead, Barbara Miller, Chester Brodhead (wife Karen), Beverly Harris (husband Lynn), Marcia Wenzel (husband Edward). She was welcomed into eternity by her parents, husband Richard, son Joshua; daughter in law Ruth Wade and son in law Alfred Hasbrouck as well as siblings Nathan 'Pete' Brodhead, Raymond Degraff (Brodhead), Janet Kennedy, Dolores Costello, along with brothers in law William Costello Sr., and Gerald Miller. and sisters in law, Grace Degraff, Arlene Brodhead and Gloria Brodhead.

In keeping with Shirley's wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services.
