Stelios "Steve" Ouloupis

Visitations will be at St. George Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday December 28th from 4-7pm, there will be a one hour visitation on Friday December 29th from 10-11am immediately followed by the funeral service.

Stelios "Steve" Ouloupis, 67, of Kingston passed away Monday, December 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born April 25, 1956 in Nicosia, Cyprus he is the son of Kassiani and Theodoros Ouloupis.

Stelios honorably served 4 years in the Cypriot military and police force as a Sergeant before immigrating to the United States in 1979 to pursue the American Dream. While pursuing a business degree at Suny New Paltz, he concurrently worked at Michael's Diner. On April 15, 1985, Stelios achieved a significant milestone by acquiring Michael's Diner a year before graduating with honors. For more than three decades, Stelios was the proud proprietor of Michael's Diner, transforming the local eatery into a beloved gathering place for friends and family. His unwavering commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere frequently resulted in patrons entering as strangers and departing as friends. In addition to his successful venture in the local business scene, Stelios became an integral part of the community, establishing himself as a steadfast pillar through active participation and generous contributions to local events and initiatives. His enduring legacy leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have experienced his hospitality and friendship

He is survived by his wife of thirty years Maria Ouloupis and three sons Kyriacos, Theodoros, and Andreas Ouloupis.
