Stephen Long

Friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Thursday, August 20, from 4pm to 7pm. A prayer service will begin at 7pm.

Stephen A. Long of Kingston, New York, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, after a long illness.

Born in Kingston on July 10, 1970, Stephen was the youngest son of the late John M. Long and Nancy C. Long of Kingston. He grew up in the Kingston area, where he spent most of his life. He enjoyed vacationing in Lake George and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Stephen worked as a mechanic for most of his life. Fixing cars was not only his profession but also his passion. He made many friends over the years and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Stephen is survived by his daughter, Samantha Holloway and her partner, Weston Smith; Samantha's mother, Pam Long; and his grandchildren, Chaelynne, Miliana, Nevaeh, and Keith Jr. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy C. Long of Kingston; his brothers, Michael Long and his wife, Tracy, Joseph Long and his wife, Debbie, and Christopher Long and his wife, Djennarra.

He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Jason Long and his wife, Hannah; Justin Long and his wife, Courtney; Kaleigh Illa and her husband, Victor; Andrew Long and his wife, Christine; Alyssa Maher and her husband, Shaun; Taylor Long and her partner, Michael Arastiqueti; Breah Mihok and her husband, Justin; Taygen Long; Samantha Fagan; and Allison Long and her partner, Josh Kobylanski.

His surviving great-nieces and great-nephews include Caylee, Kaiden, Arya, and Kiernan Illa; River and Remi White; Karsyn Knox; Amelia and Jayce Maher; Ava and Ella Mihok; Aiden McNally; Westley McCallum; Harper Caswell; Juliette and Benjamin Fagan; Lilly Mejia; and Rori Mowen.

Stephen is also survived by his cousins, David Gulisano and his wife, Liz; Melanie Gulisano and her partner, Jerry; Tracy Mowry and her husband, Steve; and Barbara Ann Cosentino. He is further survived by his former wife, Michelle Davis, and her son, Sean Dunham.

In addition to his father, John M. Long, Stephen was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Lory Long; his uncle and aunt, Joseph and Eileen Gulisano; and his niece, Kim Fagan.
