Theodore "Ted" Pugliese Sr. , of Kingston, NY died unexpectedly but peacefully in his home on February 11th, 2026. He was 74.
Ted was a proud father and an even prouder grandfather, his kids and grandkids were the light of his life. Without hesitation, he would give the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it, especially his family.
Born in the Brooklyn, NY, Ted moved to Kingston as a teen with his parents and siblings. Him and his older brother Sal were always looking after their younger siblings, making sure they never went without. He was a jack of all trades and took his skills with him into adulthood where he worked at several places across New York State for several years.
When Ted was no longer able to work due to developing medical problems, you could find him at home watching classic movies or listening to his old school records which brought him much joy. He was a simple guy and it didn't take much to make him happy.
Ted is survived by his son Theodore Pugliese, Jr. (Grace), daughter Andrea Pugliese (Jake), his cherished grandchildren, brothers and sister Eddy, Joey, Jimmy, and Becky, sister-in-law Lisa, and nephew Dom who he looked at as a second son. He is also survived by his longtime friend and partner in crime Leon, good friends Phil and Richie, and his cousin Marie with whom he shared a special bond. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
Ted is predeceased by his parents Pete and Angelina, brothers Pete and Pat, his brother and partner in crime Sal, the mother of his children, Mary, and several friends from over the years.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
