Tomarra M. Williams, affectionately known as "Marra", was born on October 30, 1973 in Kingston, New York, to her loving parents Willard Williams Sr. and Bertha Mae Williams. She entered into eternal life on March 12, 2023.

Tomarra accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age, and she grew up attending Riverview Missionary Baptist Church here in Kingston, New York, where she also served and sang on the choir.

Marra was educated in the Kingston City School District and graduated from Kingston High School in 1991. She continued her education at SUNY Ulster with a focus in Art. It's no surprise that her talents exceeded far beyond the classroom. If you knew Marra, she was an incredibly skilled Artist and true gem in the Kingston Community. She was an initial worker of the Lights On! Program for which she facilitated art classes at Kingston High School for local youth. Her creations were inspired by culture, and she often said "If you see something that reminds you of home, I've done my job." With the stroke of any brush or pencil in her hands, her paintings and drawings spoke volumes of the talent only God could have blessed her with.

Outside of being an Artist, Marra loved the healthcare field and was employee as a Patient Care Technician at Kingston Hospital, a Program Specialist at Ulster-Greene ARC, and she provided private home healthcare for many years. She was so much fun to be around, so full of life, and she loved to dance! For Marra, family was everything, and she never missed a moment to love on, encourage and celebrate her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Robert Lee Knox and Ola Mae Knox, and paternal grandmother Marion Reed. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her parents Willard Williams Sr. and Bertha Mae Williams, her brothers Willard Williams Jr. of Kingston, NY, Kareem Williams of Kingston, NY, her sister Seketha Williams of Phoenix, AZ, her son J'von Williams Sr. of Kingston, NY, her daughter Mariah James (and son-in-love Corey James) of Atlanta, GA, her grandchildren Terry Monroe, J'von "JJ" Williams Jr., Julian Williams, five bonus grandchildren who she absolutely adored, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
