Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday February 9th from 2-5 PM. A funeral service will be held at 5 PM.

Vance A. Monz, 57 , of Hurley died Wednesday February 5, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was born January 18, 1968 in Islip, New York a son of the late Joseph Monz and Barbara Bruno.

Vance enjoyed connecting with others via social media, he was known for his daily "OMG Facts", and coffee posts. He enjoyed online games such as Diablo and Age of Mythology. Vance excelled at chess and even participated in chess tournaments in his younger years. He also enjoyed playing card games such as Texas Hold'em and Magic the gathering with family and friends.

Surviving is his wife Patti-Ann Monz of Hurley, his daughter Jessica Couillard-Monz and her wife Kristina, his son Bryan Monz. Siblings Wayne Monz, William Monz, and Christine Barber.
