Vincent Ahrens, 73, of Kingston died Sunday February 5, 2023 at TenBroeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Born December 12, 1949 in Kingston, he is the son of the late Oscar Ahrens, Sr. and Rosalind Ahrens. A graduate of the Kingston High School Class of 1969, Vincent worked as a parts stock clerk for the Albany Avenue Garage in Kingston- retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Kingston Model Railroad Club, and was an avid reader of Model Railroad books, as well as researching World War I and II ships and airplanes.
Surviving is his brother Oscar Ahrens, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Sawkill, sister Paulette Yarter and her husband Roger of Carthage, North Carolina, brother in law Douglas Eighmey, aunt Betty Wood, nieces and nephews Michael Ahrens and his significant other Oleda Barreto, Bonnie Dingman and her husband Mark, Alan Eighmey, Katherine D'Aragona and her husband Nicholas, Michael Yarter and his wife Tricia, John Yarter and his wife Ruth, Kimberly Stone and her husband Christopher, Robert Yarter and his wife Lena. Great nieces and nephews, Samantha D'Aragona, Benjamin Dingman, Mary Yarter, Bryson Ray, Bryan Stone and his wife Jennifer, Savannah (Stone) Harrington and her husband Parker, Ryan Yarter, Joselyn Yarter and Kyle Yarter.
In addition to his parents, a sister Linda Eighmey predeceased him.
A graveside service will be held in the springtime.
