Vivian C. Bodie

Following Vivian's wishes, their will be no funeral services and a celebration of her life will take place over the summer.

With profound sadness the family of Vivian C. Bodie of Connelly announces her passing. She left this world on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Thompson House Rhinebeck. Born in Kingston on March 12, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Charles Bodie Sr. and Mabel (Ostrander) Bodie.

Vivian was a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1987.  She used her training in Reflexology and Reiki in her energy work.  Vivian was a spiritual intuitive, with loyal clients who became her lifelong friends. She spread her love and light to all and will be remembered as a kind, selfless person.  When she was not helping to heal others, she was often found with her family. Her grandchildren were the great loves of her life and she epitomized the meaning of unconditional love.

She is survived by her devoted son, Vincent Van Loan and his wife Marisa; her cherished grandchildren, Mia and Dominic; and her beloved siblings, Mary Orbacz, Wayne Bodie, Lee Foster, and Mabel Coumbes. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was predeceased by siblings Phyllis Mott, William Bodie, Charles Bodie, Jr., Bonnie O'Dell, Janet Reynolds, Kandy Mendock, Dean Bodie, Jennie Osborn and Chayanne Bodie.
