Wallace F. "Bucky" Hughes

Wallace F. "Bucky" Hughes, of Hallihans Hill Road died at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation on Monday July 17,2023. He was 86.  Born April 11, 1937 in Hamden, New York a son of the late Smith Alexander Hughes and Lena Bell Clark Hughes.

A veteran of the United States Army, Bucky was employed by the New York State Thruway Authority. A member of The Walkill Rod and Gun Club, he was an accomplished trap shooter and instructor. Known as a "Gun Guru", he assisted his fellow trap shooters in weight and calibration. He was also a member of the Sawkill Senior Citizens.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen (Malone) Hughes. Children; Patt Hughes, Cathy Hughes, and Michael Ulmer and his wife Melissa. A sister Yness Killmer, four Grandchildren, five great-grandchildren also survive. His brothers James, Richard, and Gerald predeceased him.
