Wesley A. Buley

A memorial gathering will be held Friday March 22, 2024 at the funeral home from 4-7 PM.

Inurnment will be private at the family cemetery in Shokan, NY.

Wesley A. Buley, 77 of Whitewater, Wisconsin, formerly of Shokan, NY, died Sunday, February 18, at his home.

Born on January 8, 1947, in Shokan, he was the son of the late Alva Buley Jr. and Evelyn M. Gollman.

Wesley "Wes" looked at life as a kaleidoscope, reflections of endless possibilities, challenges, and changes. He never liked change, but once the kaleidoscopic colors changed, he embraced the new pattern. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, country music, sitting by the fire with a good Scotch, and spending time with family and friends.

Early in his career he was a member of the Ulster County Sheriff's Department's Mounted Posse and then continued his civil service as a Deputy Patrol Sergeant. Wes was a successful entrepreneur, founding B&B Enterprises, an electric and plumbing business, before he retired.  Wes was a brother of the Fraternal Order of Free and Accepted Masons, Rondout Lodge # 343.

Wes is survived by his wife; Gloria M. Buley, his daughters, Tamara Lewis, NC and Nicole A. Tchitanava (Zaza), NY; his sons, Wesley S. Bilthauer-Buley (Alexandra), France and Travis C. Buley, WI. Wes is also survived by his grandchildren Philip Lewis, NC, Devon Crain (Aryanna), Jayd Crain, and Brett Bundy, NY; great granddaughter Milani Crain, NY; a sister Sharon D. Adsit (Roger) NY; nieces, nephews, and a world of wonderful friends.
