Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

A funeral procession will form on Monday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:30 AM at Saint Joseph's Church.

Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery.

William M. "Billy" Cuff , 81, of the Town of Ulster died Tuesday October 15, 2024 at the Hudson Valley Hospice House in Hyde Park. Born November 28, 1942 in Kingston, New York he was the son of the late John Cuff and Edith (Mayone) Olocki.

Billy was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1960. A forty two year employee of IBM, Bill  was a senior manager in White Plains, New York, Orange, New Jersey and throughout Europe. Billy served his country in the Army reserves, he belonged to the 854 Engineering Company D. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club, the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Softball Team, the Twaalfskill Golf Club and the Hackers League at Stone Dock.

Billy was a man gifted with a light touch, a warm heart, and kind words for everyone who knew him. His greatest pride, of course, was his beloved family, his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Cuff and his adored daughter, Michelle Aumann-Lichtenfels.

A lifelong resident of Kingston, when Billy was not with his many friends and extended family, the McArdle's, he most often could be found with Carol attending many of the sporting events his grandchildren, Ryley and Madi, participated in. He was a proud supporter of Colby women's hockey, where Madi was a stand out student athlete, and cherished the times and the many outings on the golf course with Ryley. His devotion to both his grandchildren was a cornerstone of his life.

Bill loved to travel, and loved to see the country with Carol by his side. They had many annual trips, to Lancaster, Newport, Maine and the Cape. These times were among his favorites as they were filled with laughter, warmth, and the privilege of time well spent.

To his many friends, he was a gentleman and an ally, who could always be counted on to participate and support the efforts and causes of both friends and family. Billy was a man of consistent commitment and quiet strength. Yet, it will be his ready smile, and the irrepressible twinkle in his eye when he met you, that will be so remembered, and remain an eternal gift to those who knew and loved him.

Billy is survived by his wife Carol (McArdle) Cuff, his daughter Michelle Aumann-Litchenfels and her husband Drew Litchenfels. Grandchildren Madi and Ryley Aumann, siblings Walter Cuff and his wife Sue, Jeannine Messina and her husband Tom, Randy Olocki and his wife Caroline, Matthew Olocki. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law: Thelma and Claudia.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers; John Cuff and Dennis Cuff.
