William "Billy" Gaffney , 61, of the Town of Ulster passed away on March 4, 2025 at Westchester Medical Center. Born November 9, 1963, he is the son of the late Norman and Theresa (Dugan) Gaffney.
Billy served his country in the U.S. Air force. In his civilian life, he worked as an independent contractor in the Hudson Valley for over 20 years.
Billy loved to cook, loved a good meal, had a wicked sense of humor, loved music and to dance. Above all else, he loved his family. He was fascinated with the Annunaki and ancient civilizations, but his favorite past time was sitting by his koi pond with his Dee.
Billy was the best friend to all those in his extended family and friends. He was a passionate plumber and would do anything for a friend. He will be sorely missed by many.
Billy is survived by his wife Donna Gaffney and his siblings Jeanne Gaffney Beyer of Danville, CA, Robert Gaffney of Prescott, AZ, and Diane Gaffney of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Meredith Gaffney of Branford, CT, Jennifer Byer-Miller (Aaron) of Danville, CA, Robert Gaffney of Phoenix, AZ, and Andrea Gaffney of New York, NY and his great-nieces and great-nephews Abigail Miller of Danville, CA, Madeline Miller of Portland, OR, Melissa Miller of San Ramon, California, and Mason Miller of Kirkland, WA.
In addition to his parents, Billy is predeceased by his brother Norman Gaffney of Port St. Lucy, FL.
