William G. Hayman

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date, arrangements will be made and notifications will be sent by his immediate family.

William Hayman, 93, of Parish Lane, Lake Katrine, died Monday January 6, 2025 at HealthAlliance Hospital Mary's Avenue Campus. Born in Kingston September 26 1931 to the late William and Evelyn (Dorman ) Hayman, the eldest of seven children.

Bill graduated from Kingston High School and is a veteran of The Korean War serving in The United States Marines and is a life member of Joyce Scherick Post 1386 VFW.

Bill was self-employed as a contractor for many years and was later employed as the Building Inspector for the City of Kingston until retiring.  Bill was a real estate agent for Weichert Realty.  Bill was also the Building Inspector for RUPCO.

Bill loved building things from toys to houses, he loved fishing, hiking, boating, and spending time with his family, who he loved so dearly.  Bill loved his faithful dog, Lolli, who was by his side every minute of her life.  They were inseparable.   Bill was very proud of the home that he built and he was so peaceful and happy there, where he could be watching the wildlife from his deck by the water.  Bill was a long time member of the Hidden Harbor Yacht Club and enjoyed spending time on his boat, with his many friends and enjoying the river life.  Bill was a devoted father/grandfather and would do anything for his children/grandchildren.  He loved going to the kid's ball games and did his best to attend every one.  Bill loved Christmas and made that day special for his entire family, taking the time to choose just the right gifts for each person.  He was always happiest with his family around him.  He was always there to help with family construction projects, giving his sound advice as well as spending endless hard-working hours until the job was done.  He was always there to listen to our problems and give his support and guidance.  He would drop what he was doing to bring us a much needed tool, feed our pets, pick up medicine, bring the spare key for lockouts, the list is endless.  Bill was a friend to all and was well loved by everyone who knew him.

Surviving are two daughters, Tina Belfiglio, and Kathy Ann Hayman (Frank Brooks) , a son William P Hayman, long time companion, Lyn Van Wert, siblings Richard J Hayman, Michael Hayman, Deborah Davis.  Grandchildren; Jack  Hayman and Amanda Elliott. Great-grandchildren; Jacob Hayman, Julianna Ryan, Giovanni Ryan and Cole Hayman.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Three sisters; Patricia Hines, Jacqueline Mahoney, Shirley Perpetua and his wife of many years/mother of his children, Patricia Hayman, predeceased him.
