William "Will" Husta

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday December 30th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Prayers will take place at 6:00 PM.

William "Will" Husta, 85 of Stone Ridge died Sunday December 24, 2023 at his home. Born March 3, 1938 in Kingston. He was the son of the late Mickey and Blanche (Van Debogert) Husta.

Will was a 1955  graduate from Kingston High school where he went on to complete his Bachelor's degree from Columbia University and was an officer in the Navy from 1960 to 1963. Will worked for IBM for 44 years in Kingston and Poughkeepsie where he started as an electrical engineer until he found his passion as a Consulting Engineer. Will was a member of the Town of Marbletown Zoning Board of Appeals since 1975 and Chairman from 1983-2019.  In his retirement  Will loved riding on his tractor and working on his farm. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.

Will is survived by his wife Simone (Bush) Husta; Jennifer Husta and Victor Lanni and Johanna Husta and Scott Grace, brother Carl Husta and his wife Lorraine, and nephew Scott and niece Laurie and their family.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his father and mother in law, Dr. William Bush and Helen Saver Bush.

Cremation will be held privately.
