Bill was a graduate of Kingston High School, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and Alfred School of Construction. Bill was a broker and real estate agent at Potter Realty. Previously he was a contractor and home builder, his broad knowledge assisted him in diagnosing a spectrum of problems. His greatest asset was the ability to make his multiple tenants happy.
Bill was a consistent community presence, often relating his work to various local charities in Kingston. He was a major contributor to his community. All of uptown benefited from Bill's volunteer work including numerous hours devoted to installing snowflakes in uptown Kingston or to building the Christmas tree for the Snowflake Festival. He took pride in leading the annual prayers at the Snowflake Festival. His time vested in uptown events was incredible. A active volunteer for KUBA, where he never said no and always helped with anything needed. Bill was also an active member of the Board of Realtors and volunteered annually for the food service drives. He was known for lighting up every room he walked into with his funny humor and awkward, ill-timed comments. He was loved by all who met him, he naturally charmed everyone he encountered. Bill enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to rock music, photography, drawing and writing song lyrics in the garage. He loved chocolate (fudge to be exact) and popsicles. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
