A memorial service will be held Saturday June 24th 12:00 PM at the Kingston Seventh Day Adventist Church- 100 Lucas Avenue, Kingston

Yolanda Mathis Youngblood, 60, of Kingston, passed away peacefully Sunday June 11, 2023 at home with her loving family at her side. Born June 30, 1962 in Manhattan, she is the daughter of the late Edward "Tiny" Smith, Sr. and Arthureen B. "Toni" Warren.

Yolanda loved shopping and dressing to the nines. She enjoyed listening to music, dining out and spending time with children and grandchildren. She was well known for her advocacy for those with substance abuse issues.

Surviving are her children Shana Smith, Shaeree Smith, Sharess Lyons, Christopher Lyons, grandchildren Dominique Lyons, Daisha Lyons, Rowen Lyons, Isaiah Lyons, Sanyis Lyons, Syrhion Lyons, Jaiza Lyons, Jeremiah Alert, Jaiden Alert, Azalea Rodriguez, Jaielle Smith. A brother Edward Smith, Jr. and his wife Paula, and sister Maggie Smith of Kingston, stepbrother Alim Chestnut of North Carolina. Nieces and nephews Tenisha Lane, Krystin Smith, Michelle Smith-Hansen, Alicia Killian, Andrez Smith-Vasquez, Darien Smith-Williamson, Willis Williamson, Jr. and Natashia McNabb as well as Yolanda's canine companion Nunu also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband James "Jimmy" Youngblood.
