Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 AM until 1 PM.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM.

Burial will follow in the Reformed Church of the Comforter Cemetery.

Ellen Colleen Carey, 94, of the Town of Ulster died Friday November 26, 2021 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born November 7, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, she is the daughter of the late Henry J. and Dorothy Josephine (Vander Horst) Moore.

Colleen worked in the assembly department of IBM in both their Kingston and Poughkeepsie locations, and was a member of their quarter century club. She enjoyed traveling the world through IBM sponsored trips. She was a faithful member of the Reformed Church of the Comforter in Kingston. She was a member of the Women's Guild and would often volunteer in the church, preparing meals or offering help wherever needed. She also enjoyed bowling locally in the senior league.

Surviving is her daughter Eleanor Ruth Duffy of Kingston, and grandson Patrick David Duffy. Two nieces Debbie Kelly and Donna Reynaud also survive.

Colleen's son David Rodney Carey, as well as a sister Dorothy Lowe and Harry Moore predeceased her.
